Good manners means being polite, humble, courteous, and respeciful. Nobody likes a rude
person. Therefore, we should all practise good manners.
Here are some basic manners that we should practise. We should always say ‘Please’ and
‘Thank you’. Make it a habit to say ‘Please’ when asking for something. We should also say
‘Thank you’ when we receive something from someone. When we are trying to get someone's
attention, we should say ‘Excuse me’.
Besides that, we should practise good manners wherever we go. When we are at the canteen,
we should queue up when buying food..Do not push others when buying food. If we are on a bus,
we should offer our seats to the elderly. At home, we should always clean up after ourselves.
Good manners are important because a well-mannered person is respected and liked
wherever he or she goes.
